Bedwas & District Young Farmers Club

We are a small organisation for fun loving individuals aged from 10-28, competing and socialising throughout the county of Gwent.

Bedwas YFC was formed during the Second World War, at a time of food shortages and petrol rationing. Brothers Gwyn and Jack Perkins had attended meetings of Caerphilly and District YFC and this gave them the idea to start a club of their own.

We are from the west of the county covering areas from Bedwas, Machen, Blackwood, Risca, Rogerstone, Bettws, Henllys, Cwmbran, Newport, Marshfield, St Brides Wentlooge, Rudry, Nash, and more.

Our monthly meetings are on a Thursday, often held in Rudry Hall, Michaeston Y Fedw Village Hall, St Brides Village Hall or Machen Hall where we discuss upcoming competitons, socials and fundraisers.

Competitons range from stockjudging, sport, drama, public speaking, cookery, craft, pantomiming and much more!

Socials include dances, ice skating, mini golf, BBQs and bowling to name but a few!

If you're looking for a club to have fun, learn new skills and make everlasting friends and memories, then Bedwas YFC is the club for you!

If you're interested in joining or just want to see what it's all about then contact us on our email (secretary@bedwasyfc.co.uk) or get in touch via our Facebook Page or Instagram Page

We'd love to hear from you!
